Our Role Project Manager
Project Insight Project Services were appointed as Project Managers for the $1.4M fitout of new Jockeys changerooms and associated facilities at the Belmont Racecourse Western Australia.
The project incorporates the replacement of the existing jockey’s facilities with new purpose-built rooms within the existing Parade Ring Bar area of the Grandstand.
Insight were engaged for PM and Superintendent services for the Design and Construction of the jockey’s facilities, including the overall contracting strategy, design management and construction administration from concept through to completion in April 2020 – a month ahead of the racing season.
The facilities are 400sqm in area and include:
Alterations of the existing Parade Bar for new build and fitout
Separate Female and Male Jockeys changerooms
Separate Female and Male bathrooms, showers, laundry and spa facilities;
Shared lounge and weigh room facilities, and;
New building fabric and wayfinding.

Our Role Project Manager and Superintendent
Project Equinix Inc is an American multinational NASDEQ listed company that specialises in internet connection and related services. It operates a global collection of data centres with over 200 data centres in 22 countries, including 15 in Australia, that provides data collection and interconnection services to 10,000 of the world’s leading businesses that generates over $5b in annual sales.
Equinix engaged Insight Project Services to oversee the fit out the last hall within the existing International Business Exchange (IBX) Data Centre in Lemnos Street, Shenton Park. The facility will increase to 700 cabinets in 1,720m2 of floorspace.
Insight Project Services (IPS) provide the overall project leadership as Project Manager and Superintendent for the construction of the PE-2B fitout including for the equipment supply, installation, commissioning and handover of the new state of the art data centre.
The data centre fitout consists of a 275 cabinet data hall split into 4 IT isles, HVAC plant and equipment capable of maintaining an operating temperature delta of 2oC within the data hall, emergency power generation and UPS plant including the HV&LV switchgear, SCADA/BMS control systems and Security/CCTV systems. The Project also consists of a full office, front of house and boardroom refit in the fully operational building. This is the 4th and final 550m2 of data hall fit out in the PE-2 building and is being done while the other 3 data halls are commercially operational.
The contractor procurement for the PE-2B project is administered under a D&C agreement. The design, manufacture and supply of all major plant and equipment is direct with Equinix and IPS are responsible for the delivery and free issue of all equipment to the contractor to meet the project timeframes. The plant and equipment include a containerised data hall solution which was designed and manufactured in the UK and shipped to site 11 days ahead of schedule.
IPS provide the marketplace understanding and construction industry advice to Equinix in all aspects of the projects including the engagement of specialist commissioning consultants, design consultants and architects.
In these strange times its always nice to have some good news. IPS are proud to have overseen the completion of the new Schenck Process Head Office and Workshops at Jandakot Airport with PC successfully achieved on 17 April 2020. The facility is another fine project delivered by PS Structures and their team of subcontractors and consultants and we wish Schenck Process all the very best in their new home as they transition over the coming months.

Mark is an experienced Senior Project Manager with over 12 years’ experience leading project teams and delivering successful outcomes for his Clients on a diverse range of projects in a variety of sectors. Marks experience extends the full extent of the project lifecycle from pre-development through to delivery and handover.
Mark will be a valuable contributor to the continued success of IPS in delivering exceptional outcomes for our Clients and building upon the $3.5b of projects we have successfully delivered since 2011
