On 7 November 2016 a significant milestone occurred for the St Vincent de Paul Society of WA – IPS successfully handed over the new Vinnies State Headquarters in Canning Vale. Practical Completion was reached (ahead of schedule) and Vinnies will now be able to expand their already broad range of services to help disadvantaged people in our community. IPS commenced on the project more than three years ago with a Business Case, Development Feasibility, Site Acquisition Services and then Project Management and Superintendent services for the delivery stage. The project has been a labour of love and we have enjoyed working with the Vinnies team and seeing the project through from inception to completion.
The $350m redevelopment of Mandurah Forum Shopping Centre was launched yesterday (4th April 2016) by the WA Premier, Colin Barnett with the co-owners, Vicinity Centres and ISPT. The redevelopment will include an extensive renovation to the existing centre and a significant expansion which will transform the centre into one of WA’s leading Major Regional shopping centres.
The centre will almost double in size with an additional 26,000m2 of new retail floor space including a new 4,000m2 David Jones, new Target store, and over 220 tenancies on completion.
Works are scheduled to commence on site in early May 2016 with IPS continuing to provide Project Management services through to completion in 2018.
Halls Head Central opened on March 17 after a $55m redevelopment of the centre by its co-owners Vicinity Centres and ISPT.
IPS were proud to assist Vicinity with the transformation of the centre from a small 6,000m2 neighbourhood centre to a 19,000m2 sub regional centre which included a refurbished Coles supermarket, brand new K-Mart and Aldi along with 55 additional tenancies and over 600 new car bays. A new family friendly casual dining precinct with a dedicated alfresco area and new shaded beach-themed playground will deliver a much welcomed facility for the local community
The redevelopment was completed in just over 12 months from commencing works on site.
Insight was recently engaged by Sealy of Australia to deliver their Head Office, Factory and Warehouse for Western Australia. The project comprises a 4,900sqm warehouse/factory, 480sqm Office, associated amenity and external works. The appointment continues our presence within the newly created Swan Brewery Industrial Estate in Canningvale and we look forward to delivering this project for the client.

IPS are pleased to announce our appointment as Superintendent for the Red Castle Apartment Development, located on the site of the Red Castle Hotel in Lathlain, Perth.
The Developer and Client, Handle Property Group, have designed a 7-level complex comprising 141, 1 bed and 2 bed apartments with ample parking and bike storage facilities situated in spacious landscaped gardens and with the famous Red Castle being retained and refurbished this site will continue to be an iconic Perth landmark.
IPS are excited to have the opportunity to work with Handle Property Group and assist then to successfully develop and deliver this project.
On Friday 4 December, IPS and the Ronald McDonald House Project Team joined CEO Peter King, Patron Adam Gilchrist, campaign contributors and dignitaries to celebrate the official opening of the new Ronald McDonald House.
The event was a great success, and all present were not only impressed with the facilities offered by the House, but also the quality of construction delivered by the builder.
The project is a testament to what can be achieved through partnering and collaboration between client, builder and consultant team and it was a pleasure for IPS to have been involved.
Designed by architect Gerry Kho, the new Ronald McDonald House is located on the QEII Medical Centre campus, close to the new Children’s Hospital. The new House will provide increased capacity to accommodate regional and rural families of sick children to approximately 1000 families each year. Since 1990, RMH Perth has been home to more than 3500 regional families.

IPS are pleased to announce our appointment as Project Manager and Superintendent for the development of the Forrest Hall Student Accommodation project on the corner of Mounts Bay Road and Hackett Drive Crawley. Kerry Hill Architects will design the development which will provide accommodation for The Forrest Scholars who are part of the Forrest Foundation scholarship programme. The development includes 33 self-contained living units ranging from 1 bed, 1 bed accessible to 2 bed and 2 bed accessible units, multi-purpose spaces, library/resource area, office accommodation, student lounge and ancillary support areas, landscaped external cloister, walled private gardens and 39 bay under croft car park.
We are excited to be part of this marque development for UWA and look forward to delivering a fantastic outcome for UWA and the Forrest Foundation.

Civil works have recently commenced in the new Byford Town Centre in Abernethy Road to create the site for the new Byford Village Shopping Centre. Upon completion of the civil works, construction of the new shopping centre will commence delivering a new Coles supermarket, medical centre, gym, cafes and over 1,200m2 of specialty retail designed by Hames Sharley.

Works have commenced on site with the demolition of the existing tavern, motel and liquor store to make way for a new Coles supermarket and First Choice tenancy.
Construction of the Hames Sharley design is being undertaken by Perkins TPD under the direction of IPS. The facility is scheduled to open to the public in July 2016.

On Wednesday 17th June 2015, IPS were pleased to attend the opening of the new Coles supermarket located in the suburb or Orana in Albany.
Insight assisted Coles Group property to deliver this new development on the former drive in site on schedule with assistance from contractor Perkins TPD and the design team led by Hames Sharley.
