Project Perron Group engaged Insight Project Services to project manage the design and construction of the first stage of the multi-stage redevelopment and expansion of the Cockburn Gateway Shopping City into a high-quality mixed-use retail, commercial and residential complex.

The Gateway Shopping City is wholly owned by Perron Group and comprises of over 170 tenancies and 4,300
car bays.

The Stage 4A works involve the demolition of the existing feature structural members at the North entry to the centre, the relocation of existing Centre Management Offices and landlord’s infrastructure, new office tenancies, a 1800m2 new entertainment tenancy, new restaurants, rectification of existing waterproofing issues on the existing car deck, a new 750m2 two-level childcare building, internal modifications and refurbishment to the mall, construction of a new main north entry involving new vertical access, facades and expanded tenancies (inclusive of new stairs, escalators and a car ramp).

The sequencing, coordination and communication of the works are of paramount importance in order to minimise operational impacts on centre.
