Project Manager and Client Representative
Linfox appointed Insight Project Services to deliver an FMCG Delivery centre in Bangkok. The 10,000m2 facility dispatches ambient product nationally and frozen product throughout South East Thailand for a leading multiple food concept operator in Asia Pacific. Brands under control include Swensens, Sizzler, The Coffee Club, Pizza Company and Burger King.
IPS worked as the Project Manager and Superintendent to meet budget and time objectives, as well as providing leadership of multi-disciplinary business units including HR, IT, Commercial Operations, Fleet Management, Security and Safety. IPS also assisted with the management of a total holistic supply chain solution in order to increase Linfox’s levels of service, and lower long term logistics costs.
Following the flood crisis in December 2011 which flooded the current facility, Linfox undertook due diligence on a new greenfield site in the non-flood zone, to minimise risk of flood occurrence in the future. The site boasts 4,000m2 of chilled storage, and contains 3 temperature controlled rooms at +4, -18 & -25 degrees, operating in 3 shifts, 6 days a week. Active SKUs are around 2,200 SKUs for ambient and 400 SKUs for chilled and frozen.
IPS has been able to supply Linfox Thailand with an experienced team, both on the ground locally and internationally, with a track record in managing projects with multiple stakeholders. Our knowledge of foreign culture sensitivity and business acumen has also been critical to the success of the project.
