Dexus engaged Insight Project Services to project manage the design and construction of the new Australian Pharmaceutical Industries (API) Warehouse Facility at the Dexus Ascend Estate.

The new facility has been designed specifically to suit the bespoke operational requirements of the Tenant (API).

The facility consists of a 15,549sqm multi-chamber temperature-controlled warehouse, inclusive of a coolroom, freezer, vault, and van drivers amenities, in addition to a 923sqm office across two levels.

The external hardstand comprises approximately 10,288sqm of heavy-duty concrete pavement, and 3,190sqm of asphalt for parking facilities. The facility stores and distributes pharmaceutical and retail products across WA, and includes a fully automated storage system.

API’s requirements have been incorporated into the design from inception, with their specific fit-out requirements coordinated with the base build design, particularly with respect to the automated storage system.

Fire Services are fed from a common fire tank and fire pump facility servicing a private industrial estate owned by the Client.

Dexus set high standards for the project as evidenced by the quality of finish achieved.
